On May 6, 2025, at the InfoSec Ukraine conference, Trokhym Babych, co-founder of the Women’s Leadership and Strategic Initiatives Foundation (WLSIF) and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Informatics at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, moderated one of the key panel discussions — “Incident Response Under Fire: The Ukrainian Approach.”

The discussion served as a platform for an in-depth analysis of practical experience in responding to cyberattacks during wartime. Participants discussed how the nature of threats is changing, and how Ukrainian public institutions, business, and international partners are shaping a new model of cyber cooperation — operational, adaptive, and results-focused. This approach is emerging in real time, being tested daily under combat conditions.

“Ukraine is a goldmine not only for telemetry, but also for practical experience. What is a model or a drill for many countries is, for us, daily operational reality. We have no room for bureaucracy or formalities—we learn to act quickly, precisely, and effectively. This experience can strengthen the cyber resilience of the entire democratic world,” noted Trokhym Babych.

At WLSIF, we are convinced that Ukrainian specialists not only respond to threats—they are shaping new rules of cyber defense. That is why our co-founders actively participate in key professional dialogues where the future of the industry is being defined. Advancing strategic, inclusive, and technological leadership is an integral part of WLSIF’s mission.
