Cybersecurity is not only about technology. It is about people capable of making strategic decisions, acting under pressure, and taking responsibility for the state’s digital resilience. It is precisely for those who aspire to build a career in security that we launched SheCyber Hub—a series of monthly meetings for students, both women and men, who view cybersecurity as their professional future.

The first meeting took place on February 20, 2025. Our guest was Nataliya Tkachuk, Head of the Information and Cyber Security Service at the Office of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and Secretary of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center. Her professional path, vision, and experience became a powerful motivation for young people just beginning their journey in this strategic field.

The conversation addressed:

  • how a career in cybersecurity is built, where to start, which mistakes to avoid, and why it is worth thinking strategically from the very first steps;

  • what it means to be a leader in the security field—focus, responsibility, the ability to make decisions in difficult moments;

  • how the war has changed the reality of cyberspace, and why the Ukrainian experience is invaluable for other countries;

  • what challenges and risks the rapid development of artificial intelligence entails, and what role AI plays in the national security system.

Among the key messages of the meeting:

“Leadership is not about titles, but about the ability to influence decisions on which the country’s security depends.”

“Ukraine is not only defending itself—it is shaping new approaches to cyber resilience that are already becoming a benchmark for others.”

“Cyberspace is a new dimension of war, and it requires strong, motivated professionals.”

SheCyber Hub is not just an educational format. It is a community where a generation is being formed that thinks systemically, acts responsibly, and is ready to change the rules of the game. The next meetings are already in preparation.
