The Women’s Leadership and Strategic Initiatives Foundation (WLSIF) supports the initiative of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center to strengthen the role of women in the field of cybersecurity, which was officially presented by the Secretary of the NCSCC, Nataliya Tkachuk, during the third module of the program “SJC-2025: Strategic Leadership for Cybersecurity Executives.”

This initiative, unanimously approved by NCSCC members in September, is a strategic response to the new challenges caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion. It emphasizes the importance of involving women in security decision-making processes and promotes the strengthening of Ukraine’s cyber resilience through gender balance, inclusiveness, and value diversity.

Within the program, WLSIF conducted a practical session, “Modeling Relationships: Pros and Cons of Gender Equality,” during which participants were able to:

  • analyze how gender equality affects the country’s cyber resilience and economic capacity;

  • propose strategic steps for the initiative’s implementation at the national level;

  • identify key challenges and formulate ways to overcome societal stereotypes.

This session became another step toward forming a comprehensive approach to developing an inclusive environment that contributes to strengthening women’s leadership in critically important areas—particularly in cybersecurity.

Gender equality is not only a matter of justice. It is a strategic resource for national security, effective governance, and sustainable development.

WLSIF invites specialists, organizations, and institutions to join the initiative and to build a community in which women have every opportunity to realize their potential in the fields that are shaping Ukraine’s future.
