As part of the Kyiv International Cyber Resilience Forum 2025, the traditional Capture The Flag (CTF) cybersecurity competition was held. This year, for the first time in Ukraine’s history, the national women’s team G1rlUn1ty took part—an initiative of the National Cybersecurity Coordination Center and supported by the Women’s Leadership and Strategic Initiatives Foundation (WLSIF) and the CyberLab laboratory.
Twelve teams took part in the CTF tournament, competing in Red Team, Blue Team, and Purple Team formats. The tasks covered key aspects of cyber defense—from incident investigation and malicious traffic analysis to countering phishing, vulnerability discovery, and responding to ransomware attacks.
As part of KICRF2025, the DOT-Chain Bug Bash competition was held, during which ethical hackers searched for vulnerabilities in the information systems of the State Rear Operator (DOT). The winner of this competition was the specialist Alyona, who identified the largest number of critical vulnerabilities.
This is a new and important step toward broader representation of women in cybersecurity—not only as participants, but as leaders who are shaping the future of Ukraine’s digital resilience. WLSIF is proud of every participant and supports expanding the role of women in the technology sector.
